Valerie Plante, MPT, Physical Therapist
Valerie is a Florida Licensed Physical Therapist. Valerie has years of experience working with children and has committed her professional career to pediatric therapies! She is enthusiastic about helping families maximize their child’s gross motor development in a way that is both fun for the child and minimally invasive for the family.
Valerie works with children 0-21 with Autism, Spina Bifida, Cerebral Palsy, Prematurity and Low Birth Weight, Genetic Disorders, and many other conditions affecting a child’s gross motor development.
Caroline L. Bias, M.S., CCC-SLP, Speech-Language Pathologist
Caroline is a Florida licensed and ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist with extensive pediatric experience.
In addition to maintaining professional licensure, Caroline maintains CPR certification and has training in a variety of specialized areas (e.g., Infant and Toddler Feeding, Oral Motor therapy techniques, Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), Alternative and Augmentative Communication, Sensory Processing Disorders, early intervention in the natural environment, and Autism/Autistic Spectrum Disorders). Caroline has special interests in Autism, infant reflux (GERD), breastfeeding, and early language development.
Mariluz Rivera, B.A., ITDS, Infant Toddler Developmental Specialist, Teacher
Mariluz is a bilingual Infant Toddler Developmental Specialist and a Certified Teacher with more than a decade of experience working with young children. Mariluz has extensive experience teaching children with autism, learning disabilities, global developmental delays, motor disorders, and communication disorders in an inclusive classroom setting. She is instrumental in the success of the kids participating in Florida Pediatric Therapy’s summer social communication camp program. Mariluz is very knowledgeable about child development and her energy and enthusiasm are contagious.
Kathryn Grimm, M.S., CCC-SLP, Speech-Language Pathologist
Kay is a Florida Licensed, ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist. Kay is knowledgeable about all areas of pediatric communication and feeding development. She works with families with children with Autism, Developmental Delays, Spina Bifida, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, and general language and speech disorders. Beginning in Spring 2016 she is offering language and literacy groups for young children so please call our office to inquire how to join one of her groups!!!

Joy Shipley, (formerly Hahn), M.A., CCC-SLP, Speech-Language Pathologist
Joy is a FL Licensed, ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist. She is knowledgeable about all areas of pediatric communication and feeding development. Joy is a fun and engaging therapist who loves working with kids and is very effective in helping families help their children talk, eat, and meet milestones!
In addition to maintaining professional licensure and certification, Joy maintains CPR certification and has training in a variety of specialized areas including autism, hearing impaired, childhood apraxia of speech, etc.
Shenika Rogers, Infant Toddler Developmental Specialist
Shenika is an Infant Toddler Developmental Specialist with a strong background in behavior management. She has worked extensively with young children with autism spectrum disorders and language delays. She helps children and their families meet developmental milestones in cognitive, communication, motor, self help, and social interactions domains. Prior to joining the Florida Pediatric Therapy team, Shenika worked as a service coordinator for the Early Steps program in Tallahassee where she helped families identify and access necessary services.
Ana Marie Velez, Infant Toddler Developmental Specialist
Ana is an Infant Toddler Developmental Specialist with a strong background in working with children with special needs. She has a vast “toolbox” of skills, supports, and strategies to offer to families and caregivers of children to help them meet their milestones. She offers great ideas to families to help them support their children in their every day routines and comes up with great simple modifications to help them achieve their goals!
Katharine Samples, Occupational Therapist
Katie is a Licensed Occupational therapist with an incredible background in pediatrics. She helps us support our Early Steps patients from birth to three. Katie is highly knowledgeable about functional motor skills, strength, feeding, sensory, and has terrific, practical ideas for families to use to help their little ones.
Yvonne Rodriguez Santiago, Infant Toddler Developmental Specialist
Yvonne is an Infant Toddler Developmental Specialist with a background in helping children with special needs. Families love the ideas and strategies she gives them for helping their children learn to walk, talk, and play.
