Caroline L. Bias, M.S., CCC-SLP, Speech-Language Pathologist

Caroline is a Florida licensed and ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist with extensive pediatric experience.

In addition to maintaining  professional licensure, Caroline maintains CPR certification and has training in a variety of specialized areas (e.g., Infant and Toddler Feeding,  Alternative and Augmentative Communication, Sensory Processing Disorders, early intervention in the natural environment, and Autism Spectrum Disorders). Caroline has special interests in supporting neurodiversity and educating neurotypical people to better understand and adapt to our increasingly neurodiverse population.

Mariluz Rivera, B.A., ITDS, Infant Toddler Developmental Specialist, Teacher

Mariluz is a bilingual Infant Toddler Developmental Specialist and a Certified Teacher with more than a decade of experience working with young children. Mariluz has extensive experience teaching children with autism, learning disabilities, global developmental delays, motor disorders, and communication disorders in an inclusive classroom setting. Mariluz is very knowledgeable about child development and her energy and enthusiasm are contagious.

Joy Shipley, (formerly Hahn), M.A., CCC-SLP, Speech-Language Pathologist

Joy is a FL Licensed, ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist.  She is knowledgeable about all areas of pediatric communication and feeding development.  Joy is a fun and engaging therapist who loves working with kids and is very effective in helping families help their children talk, eat, and meet milestones!

In addition to maintaining professional licensure and certification, Joy maintains CPR certification and has training in a variety of specialized areas including autism, hearing impaired, childhood apraxia of speech, feeding, late talkers, and more.

Katharine Samples, OTR, Occupational Therapist

Katie is a Licensed Occupational therapist with an incredible background in pediatrics.  She helps us support our Early Steps patients from birth to three. Katie is highly knowledgeable about functional motor skills, strength, feeding, sensory, and has terrific, practical ideas for families to use to help their little ones.

Yvonne Rodriguez Santiago, M.S., Infant Toddler Developmental Specialist

Yvonne is an Infant Toddler Developmental Specialist with a background in helping children with special needs. Families love the ideas and strategies she gives them for helping their children learn to walk, talk, and play.

Arelis Negron, M.S., Infant Toddler Developmental Specialist

Arelis is an Infant Toddler Developmental Specialist with a background in helping children with special needs. Families love the ideas and strategies she gives them for helping their children learn to walk, talk, and play.

Kaylyn McHugh, B.S., Florida licensed Speech Language Pathology Assistant

Kaylyn is a Speech Language Pathology Assistant who joined our team in 2022.  Kaylyn is creative and works hard to keep sessions fun and interesting for her patients.  She is excellent at getting kids to communicate and her activities are fun and playful.

Jillian Dunn, M.S., CCC – SLP, Speech-Language Pathologist

Jill is an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Speech-Language Pathologist who has specialized knowledge in deaf and hard of hearing, autism spectrum, fluency, and pediatric feeding.  She has also worked with various types of AAC (assistive and augmentative communication) devices, and is fluent in sign language.
